Reign 42 was known as the Nut House, Court of Chaos and Adventures, with our colors being Black and Red (preferably in buffalo plaid). The Emperor was J.D. Turner Elam, recipient of the International Royal Orders of the Double Eagle, The Leather Clad Papa Bear, Connoisseur of Peanut Butter Whiskey, and F.A.F.O., Emperor of Unity. The Emprex was Benita Bloom-Cox, Princess of the Americas by Queen Mother 1 of the Americas Nicole the Great, recipient of the International Royal Orders of the Double Eagle, Queen Mother 1 Nicole the Great Medal of Valor, the first Emprex of the Imperial Court of Kentucky, The Squirrel Toting, Southern Bearded Lumberjack, Defender of the Disenfranchised, Instigator of Shenanigans, Patron Saint of “Adventures”, The Frist Emprex of Kentucky, Emprex of Unity, Compassion and Diversity.
At Victory Brunch, it was announced by the Monarchs that the Emperors Royal family consisted of, Imperial Prince Royal Michael Owens, and King Father Emperor 31 Big D Lyons (in memoriam). The Emprex’s Royal Family consisted of, Imperial Prince Royal Dakota B Cox, the first Kaiser of Kentucky Empress 31 Trinity, and Queen Mother Empress 39 Diva Lilo.
The monarchs during their reign decided that, for the Court to be an inclusive organization and embrace non-binary friends and siblings, they reworked all our pageants to make them more gender neutral. They also helped rewrite the bylaws to turn a member at large chair into a membership chair to handle court membership going forward. They also brought back coronation themes with the title always starting with The Imperial Court of Kentucky Presents the Bourbon Ball and “theme” Coronation “reign number”. It was also during this reign they determined to right a few wrongs by naming Shannon Ashley an Honorary Emprex for Life and Kristian Mingle an Honorary Imperial Crown Princess for Life.
The XLII Reign represented at five Coronations. These included Cincinnati, Florida, Austin, Minnesota, and Indiana.
In February Emperor 15, Paul Johnson passed away. A page was added to the program in dedication of him and his service to our organization.
Following Voting at our Annual Falsies Awards, Dakota B Cox and Michael B Cox we crowned Imperial Crown Princess and Imperial Crown Prince, Monarchs elect. At the Bourbon Ball Out of the Woods Coronation 43, June 9 2024 they were crowned Empress and Emperor XLIII.
