Julia Vaughn Memorial Closet Ball

Named in honor of the first Empress of the Imperial Court of Kentucky, the Julie Vaughn Memorial Closet Ball is open to all expressions of drag. Contestants are paired with local Drag performers who will help them transform in 1 hours’ time into a Drag Superstar! In order to be eligible to compete in Closet Ball, a contestant must be a member of the Imperial Court of Kentucky, and can never have accepted tips while in drag previously.
